Payback time for tax fraudster sisters

Two sisters from London have been ordered to repay almost £400,000 for their part in an income tax fraud involving more than half a million pounds. Ibtesam Sami (41), of Wembley, and her sister Assima Sami (38), of Leytonstone, were ordered to payback £346,000 within six months, or face three years in prison.

In this criminal prosecution case , HM Revenue & Customs had proved that Ibtesam and her mother had failed to pay tax due on rented properties.  The mother, Nusrat Sami (60), of London NW6 was sentenced to 42 months imprisonment and has already paid back over £880,000.
